Today was our Kiwi Team father's day breakfast, it was such a great turn out and everything ran like clockwork. Thank you to everyone that turned out to our very successful event. I think we will have to repeat the experience for the mothers too!
We first all came in and ate our breakfast and then watched a clip of some of the Kiwi team children talking about what makes their dad special. All the children then gave out cards that they had made.

Our Trip to Ambury Farm
On Friday 10th of August we went to Ambury farm as part of our Inquiry unit on how farms work. We saw the sheep being shorn and cows being milked. I think my favorite thing was the baby lamb called Mini who is only a week old. I think everyone in Room 15 would say that they had a wonderful day on the farm!

Don't forget about our trip to Ambury farm this Friday. We are leaving at 9.10am, so make sure you are ready and at school by 9am.
You will need to bring gumboots, a big drink bottle, a big packed lunch and spare clothes (It will be muddy!)

The living World
This term we have been exploring the 'Living World' as part of our Inquiry learning. We have started planting our planter box with carrots, peas and silver beet. We have been also looking at parts of a plant and the cycle of fruit trees. Thank you to all the parents who donated containers and seeds. We will be growing our own plants in the class this term as well.
