Fun Fridays are a weekly event in Room 15. It is a day that we get to do our writing on the whiteboards. Today as an end of term treat we baked cookies and then we wrote what we did together as a shared writing experience. Kiwi Team Celebration Term 2

On Friday the Kiwi team had their celebration in the hall. Room 15 went up on the stage and shared our learning about the Road Safety Inquiry we completed this term. We were all so pleased on how well we all did up there on the stage.

We are real published authors in Room 15!

Our writing about how to keep safe on the road is up on display by the office foyer door. The children in Room 15 are very excited that their writing is on display in the 'big office' and are feeling like real published authors. When you are next around the office area please check it out.

New Pinboards

This week we have had new pinboards placed in our room to display our work on. It certainly brightens up the classroom!

We know how to cross the road safely!

Today we practiced crossing the road safely, putting together all those skills we have learnt over the second half of this term in our road safety inquiry. We made a crossing on the school courts as this is the safest place to cross on a road and then we held our friends hand and made sure that we stopped, looked and listened before we crossed.

Road Safety Inquiry

This term we have been exploring two different topics for our Inquiries. The first half of the term we looked at the wonderful world of science and now we have been looking at keeping safe in our environment. 

Some of the concepts that we have been exploring is how to cross the road safely, how to be safe at school and how to be kind to our friends.

Next week is the Kiwi team celebration, we are learning a road safety song to remind us how to be safe around the road that we will share.
