Maxx the Pukeko
We were very lucky on Friday to be invited to join the Pukeko team in the hall to meet Maxx the Pukeko, how excited we were and how much we learnt about being safe walkers and also about road safety. There were things we didn't know like sneaky driveways! We were such good listeners and we enjoyed listening to Maxx the very funny pukeko.

We are turning into Butterfly Creek...
We have had very excited children in Room 15 as our 20 caterpillars begin to change into cocoons one by one. Today we had a very nice surprise as one turned into a beautiful butterfly. He is now in the garden having a good look around Wattle Downs. 1 down, 19 more to go!

Gala creations
We had such fun on Thursday last week making our gala crafts. To make a vaseline plate we just put vaseline on a plate and then stuck the leaves and flowers to it. Here are some pictures of our finished creations:

Our Special Visitors
We have been very lucky to have some special visitors in Room 15. Some beautiful monarch caterpillars brought in by Mrs. Johns. We were so excited about them that we have been writing some stories about them. Check out our work below:
We really like the beautiful bright colours of the caterpillars!
We read 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' By Eric Carle and then wrote our stories about the caterpillars in our room.

Water Wonderland!
One of the uses of water is for fun and today we had a chance to celebrate this by having a water morning. After morning tea we changed into our togs or old clothes and met up with Room 9 and 10 to be part of some different activities. One of these was a bubble game, another was playing rob the nest in a sprinkler, another was a water play station and the other was building boats that will float on water. What great fun we had!
